Weissglass Speedway Reunion
On June 14, 2015, folks traveled to Staten Island to pay homage to Weissglass Speedway. Weissglass was a 1/5 mile asphalt track located in Port Richmond, NY which operated from 1952 to 1972. George LeBlanc, Weissglass competitor and race car lettering artist, started the Weissglass Speedway Museum in 1972 at his home on Staten Island. George has been hosting Weissglass Speedway Reunions for a number of years now. A bunch of GSVSCC members made the trip this year. Here are some photos from this year's reunion. Thanks to Jim Hall and Bob Barker for the pics.
